Q: My fence recently got tagged, and I was wondering if it was legal for me to put bear traps on my property in front of the fence, provided I put up a large sign that says. “No Trespassing, beware of bear traps.”
A: “No,” Grannis said. “If somebody can slip and fall on the ice on your sidewalk and sue you for that, how much worse would it be if you put a bear trap out there intentionally?”
